Brown v. Board 60 Years Later

May 17, 2014 will mark the 60th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education when the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional.

The Brown decision resulted in revolutionary changes in our nation but many argue that school integration and equity, the primary goal of Brown, has failed. As PSN working group members are well aware, public schools in the United States are still largely segregated by race and income.

Education is the gateway to opportunity and that's why parents, students, educators and community members are coming together across the country to continue to fight for racial and educational justice.

We hope that you will join this exciting week of action and help us win the public schools all our children deserve!
