During the National Week of Action, legislators across the states will be participating in events and activities that lift up a shared progressive vision for economic security in America. In that vision for our country, more families are joining a thriving middle class than falling out of it -- powering the engine of America's economic growth and national prosperity in the process.

A number of states are making progress on these fronts, such as increasing their respective minimum wage levels and enacting paid leave policies. At the same time, the reality is that too many working families across America are still barely staying afloat or losing ground. The stakes are real. These are among the ways state lawmakers are answering the call and leading the path forward, including their work during the National Week of Action starting on April 7th.
