We live in a global economy where corporations have little loyalty to maintaining decent paying jobs in the United States. Failed policies of corporate welfare and tax subsidies to the already wealthy do little but accelerate job flight and growing economic inequality.

• Education and Workforce Development to build a high wage, high productivity economy through High Road Workplace Practices, Early Education, Quality K-12 Education, College Education, and Adult Retraining
• Physical Infrastructure Investments to build the transit and other physical assets needed to compete globally
• Smart Growth and Green Jobs to save energy costs (and the planet) through Smart Growth Development, Fuel-Efficient Transportation, Green Buildings, Energy Supply Alternatives, and Green Jobs Training programs
• Broadband Buildout and Technology Investments to build a 21st century communications infrastructure through deploying Universal and Affordable High-speed Internet, Increase Technology Literacy and Inclusion, Leverage Technology for Economic Development, Health, Energy and Educational Opportunities and Local Investments for Technology-Based Growth
• Nurturing Regional Innovation and Flexibility through Deepening Industrial Clusters, Encouraging Technology Transfer from Universities, cultivating Leisure and Entertainment assets, and Strengthening Regional Cooperation
• Mobilizing Regional Capital to Invest State Funds in Firm Startups, Use Public & Union Pension Funds for local job creation, Invest in "Domestic Emerging Markets" to revive depressed urban and rural areas, and promote Smart Tax Policy to redirect failed tax subsidies to more effective regional investments
