Campaign finance reform was discussed Thursday at SUNY New Paltz, and many are hopeful Governor Andrew Cuomo’s proposals on the topic during his budget proposal will have a positive effect on the future.
Gerald Benjamin, a professor of political science at the college, said campaign reform is one of the “fundamental reforms” that can make a different in New York.
